SPIT HAPPENS

Standing in front of my side of the bathroom mirror, glancing over at husband's side~

"Oh my gosh. He is so...seriously...look at all that toothpaste spit. ALL over the mirror. And I just cleaned that...honestly. I think if HE were the one doing the cleaning, he'd at least take the time to wipe up the spittle splat. He's just not careful."

I cross to his side to wipe up the smear and just happen to glance over at my side—light hitting the mirror from a different angle.

Well.
Will you lookie there.
Same exact splat.
Maybe even a little more.
Why?

Because spit happens.

And that, my friends, is a lesson in perspective.

Hahah, this made me laugh so hard, because I had this conversation with my husband the other day. When I told him to spit IN the sink not AT it. He than reminded me that I Also brush my teeth on his side, cause mine is usually full of hairbrushes and curling irons, and make up. Yep... I had a slap on the face too.

So true. Sometimes we don't see what we ourselves do or the mess we make until we step back and take a good look.

And taking a good look can be the hardest part of all.

Impossible. I bet he sneaks over to your side in the middle of the night and takes his wet, spit filled brush and splatters it just so he feels better.
You would never!

At our home it's HIS dental floss splashes that hit the mirror...serious!
No TALKS have cured.

I'm sure it must be his spittle that splashes over to your side. My marriage motto has always been to NEVER point fingers cause when you look closely we're usually both offenders. Mimi
