BACK TO BED

Day two of no people at home in the morning, sept for me.

I went back to bed, I'll admit that.

Then Angie came by and started stirring up pots, pointing out what miserable shape my house was in. Seems I hadn't realized we'd only painted HALF WAY UP MY WALLS, PEOPLE! Who does that? Painters tape and sheets of plastic were everywhere, and I have no idea why we hadn't noticed it before! Plus, Sterling had removed the baseboards throughout the entire house, sometime in the last year, and it had just become white noise to both of us, until this visitor came to scrutinize our living conditions.

I tried to rectify the situation with lies and head nods, suggesting that this was only temporary~that no, in fact, we hadn't put the paint away, it was just "resting" in the closet. I grabbed a bottle of acrylic craft paint, and started squirting some midnight blue onto newly installed fretwork and corbels, so she'd think I was on my game, all the while barking out orders to "GET THIS PLACE IN ORDER!" while Angie walked away with eyeballs rolling back into the far recesses of her skull.

So I woke up.

Thanks a lot, Angie.

Not so much a dream, as a nightmare, Nat. Teach me to go back to bed in the morning. :)

I hate when stuff comes to life in my dreams and haunts me... like the socks that need washing. :)

I hate dreams that don't let me sleep. On my mission I used to pray every night that I would not have a tracting dream. I would wake up totally unrested.

I'll have to remember not to nod off during my morning laziness... I don't want to suddenly wake up with a desire to fix up my house! ManOfTheHouse agrees on this one, since my ideas usually end up expensive.

I was thinking the same thing...about you painting the house!
Remind me not to take a nap...oh, I just did, it just went so fast.

Come over to my house and see in real life your nightmare! We've been in this house for 3 years and still have trim, doors, and painting to do. Once we moved in and got comfy the finishing stopped! Mimi

I could let you borrow my plaque (you see, it's actually so perfect for ME, though... so you'd have to give it BACK...) to show Angie when she comes... and when she has that clueless look in her eye you can tell her how she messed up your SWEET slumber!! ;D

Get up outta that bed! You've got a marathon to run! Oh, wait, that's my own personal nightmare...I understand about the 'white noise' of unfinished housing projects. It's that very thing that makes you feel as if you are living in the 'projects' after a while. I've got a screen hanging off my sunporch door as we speak...its been that way for a year. Of course, that's how you know we're getting, ahem, old. Because we just don't care about that crap so much anymore. After all, we've got our favorite shows recorded, and those take up alot of time.
